Regulatory & Public Meetings
Open House PATH is hosting additional open house meetings in early December in Clear Brook, Va., Charles Town, W.Va., and Frederick, Md. See box at right for meeting details.

Open house attendees can view maps showing alternative routes, including newly developed ones. They also can speak one-on-one with PATH representatives on various topics, including:

The specific PATH route has not been selected. Those attending the open houses can fill out surveys designed to help identify siting issues. The survey results will be used to develop a proposed route. PATH expects to determine the exact proposed route during the first quarter of 2009.

PATH hosted 20 public open houses in Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia in July and August.

Applications for regulatory approvals in affected states will be filed during the first quarter of 2009, following the completion of routing studies. All expert testimony submitted in the Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (CPCN) applications will be posted on this page for public view.

The state regulatory approval process is expected to take about a year, and will include numerous opportunities for public input. Dates for public input hearings will also be posted on this page.
